Working with an experienced design team, you will participate in all project phases, from concept to detailed design, through to tendering, construction, and commissioning.
Primary Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Participating in concept and detailed design of electrical systems for projects in sectors including but not limited to Buildings, Industrial, Institutional, and Utilities.
- Participating in the preparation of construction drawings and specifications from the concept design phase through to construction completion.
- Support electrical engineers in the design and development of power distribution, lighting, communications, and control systems for commercial, industrial, and utility projects.
- Prepare detailed AutoCAD and Revit drawings, models, and documentation following EastPoint standards and project requirements.
- Perform electrical calculations such as demand, voltage drop, short circuit, and lighting levels for engineering review.
- Conduct site visits to gather field data, verify existing conditions, perform measurements, and support construction administration activities.
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and contractor submissions and prepare recommendations or clarifications for engineering review.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams (civil, structural, mechanical, architectural, automation) to ensure design alignment and resolve clashes or integration issues.
- Maintain project documentation, drawing revisions, and design records in accordance with EastPoint procedures and quality standards.
- Participate in internal design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of drafting standards, workflows, and templates.
