A well-commissioned building will perform better and use energy more efficiently. By helping to ensure that buildings are constructed and operate as intended and designed, commissioning supports the energy-efficient design goals of the National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings and emerging provincial and municipal building energy codes. An appropriate commissioning strategy begins long before construction and extends beyond occupancy since even best-in class systems cannot perform at an optimal level forever – owners need to continually check real-time performance against original design requirements. EastPoint’s skilled team of engineers and technologists provide our clients with LEED and non-LEED commissioning and recommissioning services, energy audits & modelling, and testing and balancing with the objective of maximizing a buildings life and performance.
