As one of EastPoint’s co-founders, he’s deeply involved in marine, structural, and multi-disciplined projects, and his office is a rallying point for junior structural engineers on the team.
Bruce has decades of experience at the helm of some of the most complex construction projects ever undertaken not only at EastPoint, but in the region. “It’s very lively at EastPoint. We’re very entrepreneurial when it comes to putting ideas out there. We’re problem-solvers, and so we’re constantly pushing ourselves to think from new angles on challenges and solutions.
Engineering solutions are sometimes tailored to immediate capital availability without considering long-term costs. This limited focus can escalate both construction and operating costs and lead to far-reaching ramifications down the road. It’s our job to help our clients understand the math of good design, and of value—it’s better to spend money on engineering once, rather than on construction fixes again and again.”
